Renowned physicist and author Stephen Hawking thinks we are wasting our opportunity to create a human colony away from Earth. He thinks we’re risking the destruction of the human race from “sudden global warming, nuclear war, a genetically engineered virus or other dangers we have not yet thought of.”

Well I’m willing to give up all my fossil fuels as long as everyone else does.

Rather than run away from our problems (to space), we’re fighting them on this planet.. or at least starting them.
A century is probably a bit too soon, rendereing Earth uninhabitible would probably take a thousand years at least (Execepting nukes, of course).
