Last week I went to the open mic at Bamboo Bernies. Justin and Keith got me on fairly early, so that was nice. As soon as I played 99% I realized my voice was totally shot. I was fending off a cold at the time and singing probably didn’t help. After that I played All My Dreams are in Cartoon, Built to Spill’s Big Dipper, and I Hope I Die on the Moon. I don’t know how it sounded, but it couldn’t have been good. Justin’s set was pretty good and he was followed by a parade of local acts. Sadly, I didn’t get to hear Adam close out the night.
