Open Mic Pre-Recap

We had 23 performers tonight, obliterating the previous record of 19. I think in the future I’ll just cut off the number of performers somewhere. It was really hectic and enormously crowded. Hopefully that meant good business for the Tree House.

I tried starting the open mic at about 7:45PM, but there weren’t too many people interested in playing that early.

Some performers don’t understand that if we cut it down to 2 songs, that doesn’t mean play the two longest songs you have. I might have to start enforcing a time limit on certain acts.

I sound like I’m complaining too much. It was a fun night and the crowd was huge for a while. Thanks to everyone for coming out.

I guess this means I won’t be able to play my 26 minute, ’70s-style rock opera featuring dueling synthesizers beginning at the 8 minute mark. It’s called “The Robot Gladiators of the Serengetti”. OH well, I’ll just play the full version of “Inna Gadda Da Vida” instead

  2. TIME LIMIT PLEASE! it would be much appreciated if i didnt have to hear long drawn out words and insane screams in songs that never seem to end. thanks 🙂

  3. How about “Dazed and Confused” by Led Zeppelin. The version on the Album Song Remains the Same. If I do that I’ll cut my set down from 2 songs to 1
