Last Saturday I played for about an hour over at marsRED Music and Movies in Haddonfield, NJ. It’s a great CD shop, but usually there are only a couple people there when I stop by, so I was really surprised to see tons of people show up. Granted, they were probably just out and around because it was a nice day. People really seemed to pay attention to the music, too. I played a bunch of songs including an untitled new original. I still haven’t come up with a good name for it, but the song is about a guy who stays in the same place all the time and sees little benefit in seeing the world unless he is required to.
Jim and Steve from Kid Charlamane played after me and they were good. I love the Philadelphia robot attack animation on their website. They might sound more punk or rock with a full band, but acoustic they’re emoish. I liked the title of one song, “More Fun than Robot Hugs.” I am always amused by robot humor.
